VIRTUAL MUSEUM

As we embrace life in the global village we accept that people disperse and live in a connected world. In this we acknowledge that it is better to make history available in a Virtual Museum as opposed to a physical structure where the object is viewed. Towards this we have started the process of telling the story of the RSA Special Forces using a Virtual Museum. This is a website that allows you to “walk through” the history and experience the story of soldiering in a forever changing world.

The museum is designed to tell the story in three spheres,
a. The Human Story – It is about Soldiering and the soldier.
b. The History – The timelines and how the nature of conflict changes
c. The Country – the integration and transition – it is powerful.

It is staggering how much the world has changed iro technology. In the last 50 years we have seen the migration from walking by the stars to switching on Google maps on the wrist watch. We have gone completely mobile!! This change is reflected in our project design. The virtual museum is designed with place holders to display information. There are standard displays and themes but the content is changed on demand. This makes place for every soldier to be in the museum and for every person to tell his story. This is an all-inclusive design. It is for all.
